"Just look around, baby. It's not that hard to figure out." Those words rang through my head all day. After breakfast I let Gennis take me all the way home. Kayla and Jasmine practically lit me on fire when I walked through the door talking about "Where the hell have you been?!" "You can't stay out all night, Kairee! Anything could happen!". These bitches have some nerve. Anyway, as you can imagine, Trey has been blowing me up all day talking about how 'sorry' he is. This nigga is always sorry. Why the fuck can't he just answer a simple question? He wouldn't have to be sorry. I think it's funny how he wouldn't hang out with me because of 'business', but he found time to fill up my fucking inbox with messages. I guess 'business' must not be doing too well. I heard a knock on the door. "Coming!" I called. I half-jogged to the door and cracked it open. I raised an eyebrow "How did you get in here?" "I caught the door when somebody was leaving. Mind if I come in?" He pushed past me. I stared after him with raised eyebrows, then shook my head and closed the door. "Ok, I think a better fitting question would be how the hell do you know where I live?" He gave me a look. "Right." I said "So what's going on, Ree Ree?" He sat on the arm of my couch. I shrugged and leaned back against the door "I was hoping you could tell me that." He sighed "He's really sorry, Ree." "So why can't he ever tell me that? What are you, his messenger?" He sighed "He's just busy. He would've come if he could." "Please. Busy my ass." I said while walking to the kitchen. I heard him get up and follow me. "Look, it's not that simple. There's a lot of shit you don't know about Roc." "That's because 'Roc' doesn't tell me anything." I said slightly annoyed "Ree, you just have to give him time." "I have given him time! How much fucking time does he need?" He leaned against the counter. I sighed "Sorry. I shouldn't be yelling at you. You're just being a good friend." He nodded understandingly "Look, the only reason I keep coming to talk to you about this nigga is because I think you're really good for him. I seen him with a lot of bitches-" I shot him a death glare "Females," he corrected himself "But he's never been this way with anyone." "What way?" He ran his hands over his face "I can't really explain. Just know that you're good for him, Ree. You just have to work with him. He's not used to having good girls. He never learned the proper way to treat em." I leaned against the stove "Why not?" He sighed again "I told you, there's a lot of shit you don't know about him. It's not my place to tell you. You have to let him do that on his own." I stared at the floor in thought. "So, Ree Ree, you want to go get some ice cream?" He said smirking. I giggled "Why is it every time you come to talk to me you have to have some type of food?" "A man's gotta eat, babe. And plus, I want to take my little sister out." I raised an eyebrow and smirked "Little sister?" "Yeah. Now go get dressed, I heard Cold Stone is giving away free ice cream today!" He ran goofily out of the kitchen. I giggled. I guess he is kind of like my big brother now.
