Selena frowned then decided to break the silence. "But Joe told me you know that they were here" Selena asked confused. Demi looked at her confused and shocked. "She probably thought we already left" Nick answered quickly for her. Selena looked over to him frowning. "Yeah, we've been here for a while." Joe added and gave Selena a crooked smile. Selena just looked at him blankly not returning his smile. "Yeah, that's what I thought" Demi said quickly and walked over to the small table next to Selena's bed. "Sel, look what I bought. I bought strawberries. You love strawberries...." Demi talked very quickly and nervously while she quickly packed the things out. Selena remained silent for a few moments just starring at the things Demi brought. "Do you really think I'm that dumb?" she suddenly interrupted Demi. She leaned back and looked at the teddy bear which was on her lap. "Do you really think that I can't see that each one of you is lying?" She whispered slowly and looked up. Joe and Miley looked at her shocked; Nick desperately tried to hide his shocked facial expression while Demi looked at her panicked. "But keep on lying. I don't care" she said and closed her eyes. She suddenly felt sleepy although she had slept over 15 hours. And the pain in the back was killing her but she tried not to show it. "And don't even try to deny it, Demi" she said with closed eyes. Everyone remained silent. Selena was about to fall asleep when someone lightly touched her arm. She opened her eyes and looked to her right at Joe who looked at her half-smiling. "We have to go back to work. But don't worry, we'll be back soon" Joe grinned now as Miley nodded smiling. "I sure am a better company than that looser over there" Joe nodded towards Nick who just rolled his eyes. "Thanks for coming, Joe ... and Miley" Selena looked at Miley smiling. "No problem" Joe answered grinning. "I'm awesome, remember?" Selena let out a small giggle and Joe looked down at her smiling. "But you're awesome, too. Not as awesome as me but still..."Joe grinned at her. Selena giggled and shook her head. "Okay, Joe" she said smiling. "I walk with you to your car" Nick said and pushed himself away from the wall. Selena frowned confused. Did that mean that he would come back? "You're staying?" she asked confused. Nick turned back to her but avoided eye-contact. "Yeah, I have my day off" he nodded and put his hands into his jeans pocket. "Bye Selena" Joe said smiling at her. Miley walked over to her and put her hand on her arm. She remained silent for a moment and just looked down at her. "I'm sorry" she whispered almost inaudible then turned around and walked towards the door. Nick and Joe followed her as confused as Selena was. With Nick "Nick, seriously what's wrong with you?" Joe asked as they were out of the hospital walking towards the parking lot. "Nothing, why?" Nick asked distracted as he kicked a stone away. "I mean, you saw her again. Shouldn't you be happy?" Joe asked again and Nick's head shot up. "So I should be happy that she is here in hospital? And I should be happy that she had that accident which was pretty much my fault?" Nick snapped at him. Joe raised his hands and stepped back. "Nick, I didn't mean it like that!" Joe said. Nick sighed and looked away. "I know" he said quietly after sighing. "Nick, did you talk to her?" Joe asked him and Nick looked at him slightly confused. "I mean, did you talk to her about everything? Like why she is here when she is supposed to be in London?" Joe asked. "Demi lied" Nick simply responded. Joe remained silent as Miley shook her head. "Did you talk to her?" Joe repeated his question again. Nick just shook his head. "Why?" Joe asked again. Nick remained silent. "Why?" Joe repeated. "Because I didn't want, too! Damnit Joe! Stop asking stupid questions!" Nick suddenly shouted. Joe stopped walking and looked at him blankly. "Okay whatever. I only tried to help you since you were my best friend since kindergarten but well... come on, Miley. Let's go" He said and walked away with Miley leaving Nick behind. "Wait, Joe. I'm sorry" Nick caught up with him. "I didn't mean it like that. I really need to talk to you." ***** Twenty minutes later, Joe and Nick were sitting on a bench. Miley had already left for work. Joe shook his head as Nick light a cigarette. "I don't get it, Nick... I mean, you said she's here for you. She obviously likes you that's why she's here. And I know you, you like her too. I see the way you look at her" Nick just remained silent while Joe continued talking. "But there is something else that is stopping you. There is something that is bothering you that's why you won't talk to her." Joe paused for a moment. "Is it Demi?" Nick looked at him confused. "What do you mean?"Nick asked slowly. "I mean, do you still have feelings for Demi?" ***** Sorry guys, that's all for today...more tomorrow... I still have to do homework and it's almost ten p.m. here:(
